You have high attention to detail, the ability to think strategically as well as the ability to deliver operational responsibilities in a changing environment. About the roleThis is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per annum (including superannuation)The role will report into the Group Finance Manager and is responsible for:Preparation of monthly consolidated management reporting packs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirementsAssisting in preparation of financial statements for regular reporting to the Board of Directors, Senior Management and other stakeholdersWork closely with the Group Finance Manager to develop budgetary and accounting policiesAssistance with preparation of half-yearly and yearly annual reports and supporting schedulesAssisting with financial investigations and audits as required, by collaborating with external auditors and other professional advisorsMonitoring operating costs, organisations' income and expenditure, as well as preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and system maintenanceProviding financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operationsPreparing tax returns and superannuation payments for all staffResponsible for bank reconciliations and credit controlProvide input for continuous improvements by introducing and maintaining accounting systemsAssistance with determining accounting treatment for technical accounting issuesResponsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable processesAssisting in the review and development of budgetary and accounting policies:Supervising and training of staff membersAd hoc report preparation Qualifications & experience:At least 1-year practical accounting experienceIndustry experience (vocational, higher education or training sector)Strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills (including but not limited to: Nested If statements, VLookUps, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Countifs, Match, Index)Completed a Commerce degree or equivalent accounting degree What makes working with us exciting:Paid birthday leave1-day per week WFH policyWork-life balanceTraining and development opportunitiesJob rotation and career progressionA positive culture and fun team Diversity & Inclusion We celebrate our diversity and strive to reflect contemporary Australian society in order to better serve our students.
