About the role

We are currently seeking an inspiring Yoga Trainer and Assessor to join our Sydney team for Term 2.

Term 2 Schedule:

  • Duration: Monday, 20 April to Friday, 26 June
  • Days: Monday & Tuesday
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

You will deliver the following qualification:

  • Diploma of Yoga Teaching

This role involves supporting and guiding students through the Diploma of Yoga Teaching, so a genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and student development is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Trainers and assessors are required to:

  • Inspire and deliver assigned programs using extensive knowledge, industry experience, and real-world examples guided by comprehensive learning materials
  • Provide support and constructive feedback to ensure successful student outcomes
  • Monitor, assess, and mark student progress and assessments
  • Plan, review, and continuously improve training and assessment strategies
  • Participate in assessment validation, moderation, and continuous improvement processes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong passion for yoga and a genuine interest in teaching and mentoring others
  • Proven experience in teaching or lecturing (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or higher (required)
  • Minimum 500+ hours of yoga teacher training qualifications
  • At least 5 years of yoga teaching experience
  • Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant experience in:
    • Advanced Yoga
    • Pranayama and Meditation
    • Yoga Philosophy
    • Trauma-informed practices
  • Additional qualifications or experience in areas such as Pre-natal Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Yoga for the Aged, Special Needs, Ayurveda, or Yoga Therapy are highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and higher education delivery
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support students in achieving precise alignment and safe practice
  • High attention to quality and detail
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds (our students come from over 70 countries)
  • Commitment, flexibility, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively within a team
